The Grid Experience

Grid's culture development approach is unlike any other approach to training. Lasting and meaningful positive change is affected only by addressing the fundamental values and attitudes that influence behavior. Grid supplies the tools to transform ineffective and ingrained patterns of behavior into productive and dynamic action by shifting the responsibility for learning and change from experts or "teachers" directly to the hands of individuals.
How Grid's Culture Development Approach Stands Out:
1. We remove expert dependency from the learning we facilitate. Rather than listen and take notes from an expert's lectures, Grid uses carefully designed activities that produce experiential, team-centered learning. Participants investigate problems and create their own solutions, demonstrating the value of teamwork in a "real time" setting. This self-convincing approach instills greater understanding and ownership for team effectiveness and deepens commitment to personal and organizational change.
2. Human behaviors that are often considered too subjective to measure are defined in objective terms through Grid's framework. Individual and team action is critiqued from multiple perspectives to understand the direct impact of behaviors and actions on results. Participants define and agree on the soundest behaviors and culture and compare them to actual behaviors and culture. Being able to see the gap is the essential motivation for change.
3. Learning is theory-based. A comprehensive and empirically proven theory of individual and organization behavior provides the foundation for change.
4. Grid training addresses the whole organization, through all levels, from the CEO down.
